“NeuroPositivity” is what results when you increase the growth and stimulation of neuropathways in the brain that control positivity. We can liken it to a positive state of mind, but it really goes even further. It is a “positive state of being.”

The rationale for “NeuroPositivity” is simple: to increase your experience of personal well-being by increasing the positivity of your brain at a neuronal level.

Flourishing And Positive Affect

Positive affect or “feeling good” is a major component of flourishing. In every dimension of flourishing, we find positive affect. Languishing, the opposite of flourishing, is the experience of “flat lining” in life. It’s the feeling that life seems to be going nowhere, or worse, that we’re actually going in reverse. Flourishing is an UpSpiral. Languishing is a DownSpiral. Positive affect and good feelings are major factors in what supports flourishing. You have to be as good at feeling positive feelings as you are at feeling negative ones. So, today and tomorrow, smile and feel gratitude 25 times. Then smile and feel love, peace, joy, and hope 25 times. Smile broadly and feel them all. Go ahead. Practice and become empowered with positive emotion. Become better at feeling positive emotion than you are at feeling negative emotion.
