NeuroPositivity

“NeuroPositivity” is what results when you increase the growth and stimulation of neuropathways in the brain that control positivity. We can liken it to a positive state of mind, but it really goes even further. It is a “positive state of being.”

The rationale for “NeuroPositivity” is simple: to increase your experience of personal well-being by increasing the positivity of your brain at a neuronal level.

Why is this important?

1. Your brain runs efficiently and easily on positivity. Your thinking and feeling faculties are sharper. You simply feel good.

2. You thrive at a cellular level and your entire body is programmed more toward wellness and well-being.

These two profound truths affect not only how you feel, but everything you do.

Singing The Blues?

The "Blues" is a musical genre that most everyone enjoys, but I wonder why there isn't a genre called "Singing the Glads" or "Singing the Happys" or "Singing the Joys.?" It is easier to feel the soulful, sad, melancholy emotions because we have practiced them more. They are just more easily available to us. We need to learn to practice the positive range of emotions just as easily, and by our deliberate choice. Where is the truly celebratory, highly "UpSpiral genre" of music that lifts the spirit and creates joy just by hearing it? Try this. Select a song that, just by listening to it, transports you to the feelings of joy, peace, love, hope, or gratitude. Select one song for each of these positive emotions. Feel the emotion throughout the duration of the song. Make it a meditation on a single positive emotion. Play these songs once a day and practice feeling these emotions for longer and longer periods of time and see what happens. Especially play them when you want to feel better. Eventually you will find that you avoid unnecessary negative emotions and thoughts and the moods they lead to, just by listening to your "glad songs," even if you have to play them only "in your head." Go ahead, instead of "singing the blues," learn to "sing the glads." .
