Graduates of the NeuroPositive Certificate program may apply for this program, which leads to the credential "Licensed NeuroPositive Coach." This class builds on the research base taught in the Certificate level class, and takes the student into an intensive, personalized 20 week supervised coaching practicum as well as introducing more advanced concepts in coaching research.

Working with a "live" client, students will master the NeuroPositive coaching model on a session by session basis.

ICF coaching competencies form the framework for this class. Topics covered include:

• Building the coaching relationship: the role of mirror neurons, deep empathy, mirroring, heart-to-heart identification
• Working with client resistance, the "reluctant" client, creating harmony in the coaching relationship, using contrast to promote client growth
• Building meaning and personal significance with every client, the role of personal vision
• Moving from goals to vision, creating a personal vision
• Building the coaching tool kit, NeuroPositive coaching strategies including intensive practice with the Emotional Gym, strengths, UpSpiral and more
• Personalized feedback for every student every week. Practice and demonstration coaching with peers and class instructor. Personalized evaluations of progress for each student
• The role and practice of powerful, provocative questions to evoke growth and reflection, celebrating client successes
• Overcoming client "flatlining" and perceived lack of progress, creating challenging and meaningful homework for clients, client accountability
• Coaching the client who is in transition, coaching tools which support clients in making successful life transitions

Continuing Education

Coaches participate in an online continuing education class and also receive additional coaching resources. This is part of our dedication to providing a program of continuous growth for every coach, ensuring that they are the most highly educated and professionally trained coaches on the planet. The cost is $50 per class.

The Life Coach Home

This site is provided for all Licensed coaches as their online “gathering place.” Licensed coaches have the opportunity to have their professional bio and picture posted on this site. The Life Coach Home is designed to be a place where coaches can develop and deepen a sense of “virtual community” and share strategies for success. On this site, ANI provides coaching and business resources including videos, podcasts, articles, and the NeuroPositive Book Forum. There is also a link on this site to the NeuroMedia Library, housing an extensive collection of articles and other resources for coaches and clients. Coaches are encouraged to use “The Life Coach Home” as a place for regular networking and sharing of resources, strategies, and materials. The site is password protected and available exclusively for Licensed NeuroPositive coaches.

Social Networking

ANI has a well-developed social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn. Licensed coaches are encouraged to participate on these sites, as well as develop their personal FB, Twitter, and YouTube accounts. We provide coaches who have these personal social networking pages consultation in optimizing their online presence. 

The Positive Mind Blog

The purpose of this blog site is to provide weekly ongoing training for Licensed coaches. Each week, articles are posted on the blog, designed to provide coaches with the most current research and best coaching practices. The blog is a place for coaches to learn as well as interact with one another and the larger ANI community, which has full access to the site. For all of our coaches, it is designed to be a rich resource in continuing  education as well as a vehicle to build a coaching business. Licensed coaches are required to blog each week.

NeuroPositive Marketing: Building Your Practice

(Optional but highly recommended)

ANI provides an optional 10 week program designed to teach coaches the most current resources and best practices in building their coaching business. This class is available separate from the 40 week basic License training. Topics covered in this highly recommended class are audience and niche development, integration of technology, developing a business plan, and marketing/advertising via social media and traditional media. This class is open only to qualified graduates of the basic 40 week License training. (10) one hour classes. The cost of this program is $495.

Creating and Facilitating a 12 Step UpSpiraLife Group

(Required for those who want to be UpSpiraLife Group facilitators)

This 10 week class is required for those who want to establish and facilitate a 12 Step UpSpiraLife Group. Participants will examine the research and best practices which form the bases of the 12 Step UpSpiraLife Group process. Upon successful completion of this class, participants will be credentialed to form and facilitate their own group. The required text for this class is Dr. Larkin's A New 12 Steps for A New Millenium: The UpSpiraLife Group.

Personal Coaching

Every Licensed coach has the opportunity to receive 4 hours of coaching with Dr. Larkin or Dr. Johnson, at a substantially reduced rate. We believe that this opportunity is an excellent way to grow personally and professionally. This coaching is not focused on business development, although that may be an outcome of this process, but rather is directed at the coach’s personal growth in the UpSpiral and the tenets of our coaching model. While these sessions can be scheduled either during or after the training program, we recommend that they be taken after completion of training, where they are likely to be most effective.

• Successful completion of the NeuroPositive License Class. (PREREQUISITE: Completion of the NeuroPositive Certificate Class)
• Required continuing education coaching class, beginning upon completion of the License class. The cost is $50 per class. NeuroPositive coaches are held to a level of excellence through their commitment to continued professional growth. Coach training is held "live" on our secure telephone bridgeline, on the internet, and through podcasts. You never stop growing professionally and you never stop learning how to grow your business.
